Building Your Dream Home? Read These 5 Things and Save Yourself

Advice
Known Before Building My Dream Home

Thinking about building your dream home? It can be the most exciting and gratifying experience in your life. At the same time, the whole home building process can get more challenging and overwhelming.

A home is always the fulfillment of dreams, an embodiment of all the fantasies about lifestyles. As all we know, the shelter has always been of primal importance in human existence. But through centuries, it has evolved to something that showcases the status, the identity of individuals in a society.

Hence it has become significant to be prepared when setting out to achieve your dream home. In today’s era of astounding technologies, it is of paramount importance to have a clear idea of individual requirements before stepping into building the home.

Creating a budget and an expected time frame for building your home

The first step in the construction of a house is the creation of a realistic budget by incorporating all your necessities. When you define your needs, make sure you have equated them with the funds that you have and will accumulate. It is always better to plan within your financial limits. This step includes buying the land, the nature of soil you are planning to construct the house on, setting up an expected completion time frame, etc.

Assemble an experienced team

Once the budget is outlined, the next step would involve the participation of a competent builder, who can understand your requirements and act accordingly. The point is that the builder is the one who should coordinate the countless players and products needed to transform a set of two-dimensional drawings into a finished home.

The builder has to make sure that everything happens just when it’s supposed to, and that the end result is exactly what the clients envisioned. Bringing in the inputs of a professional builder at such early stages can yield significant cost savings.

A developer will have experts like architects and engineers, a quality management team, liaison team, and operations team, working with him on various projects. So, if you would like your architect to design the house, ensure that the developer is in contact with your architect, and thus the construction process is in sync. Having the partnership of an adept builder could be the foundation stone to building your dream.

Revise and finalize the plan for Building your home

This is the phase where you need to do the inevitable. You have to control the overflow of suggestions from the peers, from yourself. Remember your budget entirely depends on your decision. Yes, you have to pay attention to everyone. But make sure to consider only those important ones for any revisions and rework that can be taken at this point in time.

Discuss all your expectations and limitations with your builder. The final design is often when budget overruns become apparent and cost reductions are then made.

Start construction and monitor the work regularly

Every construction process is unique and depends on the scope of the project. With the support of an experienced team of professionals, a well-defined execution plan and a group of skilled workforce, the construction phase leaps into action. A trusted builder will make sure that a constant flow of monitoring keeps the construction process up and running.

Stepping into the house

The completion of the construction of their abode is the moment of dream-come-true for the majority of the individuals. It is imperative to choose a professional builder in this process. There is honor in the word ‘professional’.

When you hire the services of a professional builder, you can be sure that they will provide quality service in every way. They will use official warranties and guarantees to protect your investment. Also, they will ensure that the final result satisfies you. Also, look if the builder has affiliations with an industry association. Such a builder reflects high-quality standards and only accepts fully licensed and insured businesses.

I am planning to build a two-storied residential building in a contemporary style. Each floor should be of 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, kitchen, store, hall, sit out/ balcony, and separate stair room. the area expected is of 800 sq ft each, i.e total 1600 sq ft.

1) What may be the approximate cost of construction?
2) How much time span is required for completion?
3) what are the areas which you exclude in the project cost?
